• Applications are still being accepted for MUSIC CAMP July 28^th-August 1^st.  See bulletin board in the foyer for further information.
   

• The BAPC prayer chain is being updated. If you would like to be part of this ministry or learn more about it, please contact Deborah Houghton. You may either be part of the email chain (you receive messages about prayer concerns), or part of the phone chain (you receive a call and make one call). If you are part of the current phone chain, please confirm with Deborah that you would like to continue.
   

• The Congregational Care division is sponsoring a blood pressure screening on the 1st Sunday of each month. Your blood pressure can be monitored between morning services in the Church parlor. What a great way to be in touch with your body’s well-being!
   

• The Preschool is hiring a teacher for 2008-2009, to work with 2 year olds and young 3’s. If you are interested contact Jean Oswald.
   

• Fair Trade Coffee and Chocolate are here and taking orders the first Sunday of each month. Click here for details.

This Week at BAPC

What's Happening at BAPC

BAPC is hosting the Family Focus group of the CARITAS program Saturday, July 19 through Friday, July 25. There are opportunities for Evening Hosts, Laundry, Meals and fellowship. Please consider donating some of your time and energy to this great cause. Additional information and Sign-ups are available online by clicking here and in the church foyer.

Carolyn Carper, Peter Thompson, and eight of our high school young people are in Montreat, NC to participate in Week V of the 2008 Montreat Youth Conference, “Throw Open the Doors!”. Please keep each of them in your prayers. They will return on Saturday, July 26th.

On July 20 we will hear of the coming mission work of former BAPC member and granddaughter of Curt and Lou Acker, BECKY ACKER MOHR. Becky and her husband Steve will be leaving in September for a year of service in South Asia with the International Justice Mission. The IJM engages in legal work to secure justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. Read more about their work at www.IJM.org. Becky and Steve will offer moments for mission at each service and give a presentation on their work with IJM at 9:30 AM in the Beck Room. They will also be available for conversation after the 11 AM worship service.
